the adventure of living with their airplanes at the Heavens Landing Retreat. Ask

Over thirty years ago, during his first flights over Kentucky and West Virginia,
Mitch knew he wanted to share the adventure with others, and help them reach their
goals in aviation. Mitch, a former Airline Pilot holds an Airline Transport Pilot
Rating in Single and Multi-Engine aircraft with several Type Ratings, Flight Instructor
Ratings, and Aircraft Mechanic ratings.
With the gift of mentoring, Mitch has experienced lifelong relationships with his
flight students becoming like an extended family member, which is the foundation
he envisioned for his new business Just Plane Adventures LLC specializing in used
aircraft sales and services.
Continuing in that spirit, it is their goal to develop similar relationships with
their vacationing customers by providing outstanding service and a unique lodging
experience.
Heaven’s Landing Retreat is West Virginia’s only 4-Season Fly in Retreat Destination
with an assortment of lodging accommodations on a private airstrip for an awesome
experience.
Heaven’s Landing Airstrip (4WV4) is a 2000 ft grass airstrip available to our fly
in customers with prior permission.
We are conveniently located just 115 miles West of Washington, DC only 3 miles North
of the new 4 lane HWY Route 55/48 on Patterson Creek Road in Medley, West Virginia.
Our B&B sits high on a beautiful plateau along Patterson Creek in the South Branch
Valley where our guests share the seclusion of our hanger/home and spectacular views
of the Patterson Creek Mountains to the East. This location offers easy access to
outdoor activities in the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area, such as hiking, mountain biking,
cave tours, canoeing, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, skiing, horseback riding,
golfing, trout fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing.
We are still developing parts of our 100 acre working cattle farm to offer a medley
of attractions such as adding accommodations for our equestrian friends. Currently
the region’s newest vacation experience, offering, a modern Hangar/Home Bed & Breakfast,
Vacation Rentals including the original farm house with indoor Jacuzzi tubs for
romantic getaways, Cabins, RV sites with full hookups and 50 amp service, air camping
and tent camping.
