Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad

Journey along the South Branch of the Potomac River

The railroad operates excursion trains over a former Baltimore and Ohio Railroad line that runs from Green Spring to Petersburg along the South Branch of the Potomac River, through a visually-striking gorge known as ‘The Trough.’ One of the most scenic spots along the South Branch, The Trough is home to American bald eagles.
